Subverting the Efforts of President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth to Restore the Military, At Least One Senior Official Appears to Have Made a Promise He Had No Intention to Keep

Without Intervention, CWO3 Brandon Budge Faces Separation from Army Due to COVID-19 Shot Controversy

As the world continues to grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there has been much debate and discussion about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine. While many have willingly taken the shot, there are some who have expressed concerns and objections. And unfortunately, for one Army officer, those objections have led to the possibility of being separated from the military.

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Brandon Budge, a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, is set to be separated from the Army on September 1 due to his objection to the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 shot. Back in March, Budge had hoped that his career could be restored, but unfortunately, that has not been the case.

It all began when Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth determined that Budge’s objection to the COVID-19 shot was “unlawful as implemented.” The decision left many confused and disappointed, especially since President Trump and Hegseth had been making efforts to restore the military. Budge’s objection was based on his concerns about the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, which many have also expressed.

But the bigger issue here is that it appears that at least one senior official has made a promise that he had no intention of keeping. It’s disheartening to see that the efforts of President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth to restore the military have been subverted by someone who was supposed to have the best interest of our servicemen and women at heart.

It’s a sad reality that CWO3 Brandon Budge may be separated from the Army due to his objection to the COVID-19 shot. As a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, he has served his country with honor and dedication. And now, just because he has concerns about the safety and efficacy of a vaccine, he is facing the possibility of being separated from the military that he has committed his life to.

But what does this say about the current state of our military? Shouldn’t our servicemen and women have the freedom to make their own informed decisions about their health? Shouldn’t their concerns and objections be taken seriously and addressed with respect and understanding?

The decision to separate CWO3 Brandon Budge from the Army is not only unfair, but it also sends a concerning message to our military community. It tells them that their voices and opinions don’t matter, and that they must conform or face the consequences.

As a nation, we have always prided ourselves on being a country that values freedom and individual rights. And yet, in this particular situation, it seems like those values are not being upheld. Our military personnel, who sacrifice so much for our country, deserve better.

It’s also worth noting that Budge’s objection to the COVID-19 shot is not an isolated incident. There are many others in the military who have similar concerns and objections, but may not have spoken out for fear of repercussions. With the decision to separate Budge, it sends a message to these individuals that their concerns and objections will not be tolerated.

In times of crisis, it’s important for us to come together and support one another. And that includes respecting each other’s decisions and concerns. The decision to separate CWO3 Brandon Budge from the Army is not only unjust, but it also goes against the very values that our military stands for.

As we continue to navigate through these challenging times, let’s remember to support and stand by our military community. Let’s also hold those in positions of power accountable for their actions and decisions. Our servicemen and women deserve nothing less than our full support and respect.
